Do not see many colorful butterflies in our gardens these days, in fact hardly any at all but my husband told me today that he saw a beautiful blue one. Made me remember this card I made a few days ago, another one from the ink blending session that I had.
I used a leafy stencil from Claritystamps to make the background this time. I will put all the links at the bottom of this post. Gesso was dragged through the stencil left to dry then inks blended over it. Always a bit scary when you start blending inks but keep going any lines soon disappear. I used some gold stickles glue in the leafy veins and stamped a few random birds across the page. Dotted over a few bright sequins as well.
Next came the butterfly. This is a large stamp and I used some of the gorgeous Clarity Northern lights paper for the background. Stamped it a few times then cut out and decoupaged up. Added whit highlights on the wings and of course also some glitter.
I edged the piece with a black sharpie pen and mounted onto yellow card then a card blank.
Effective I think, hope you do too.

All for now. Off to make the most of the late afternoon sun that we have been enjoying.
